Carragher backing for Torres

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher backed Fernando Torres to be a success for Chelsea after spoiling the Spain striker's Blues debut by helping the Merseysiders triumph 1-0 at Stamford Bridge. Raul Meireles hooked home from close range after 68 minutes to secure three points for Kenny Dalglish's visitors - moments after Torres had been replaced by Salomon Kalou. Carragher told Sky Sports 1: "Good players come and go. "We've played against plenty of players (who have left)... we used to play against Robbie Fowler when he went to Leeds... it's not easy. You know the quality. "Fernando is one of the best strikers in the world and I'm sure he'll prove that for Chelsea but he's not with us now. We've got to focus on our own team, do our own jobs and that's what we did." Me: Liverpool are more stronger under Dalglish. No doubt about it. Congrats to The Kop.

Liverpool have agreed a fee for Fernando Torres with Chelsea thought to be in the region of £50million and have given the striker permission to speak to the club. Speculation has raged over whether the Spanish striker will conclude a move to the Premier League champions before the transfer window closes on Monday night. And it now seems the 26-year-old is on the brink of completing a last-minute switch after the two clubs settled on a towering price for his signature following the Blues' failed £35m offer earlier this week. Liverpool confirmed on their official website: "Liverpool Football Club tonight confirmed they have agreed a fee with Chelsea for the sale of Fernando Torres. "The player has now been given permission to speak to the London club."

No going back for Chelsea in Torres deal

Image
So, it’s being tweeted this afternoon that Chelsea will shortly announce the signing of Fernando Torres for £48m – a lot of money, an obscene amount really but if the alternative is £40m plus Nicolas Anelka, then the extra money is something the club just has to suck up really. I was asked yesterday what I thought Chelsea needed right now, given yet another dire performance from us and my immediate response was ‘we need to sign Torres’. Not because I believe in throwing money around, if anything I’ve always been against huge transfer fees, but because firstly Didier Drogba either needs a kick up the arse or a move elsewhere and secondly, because our apparent inability to get our man these days could cost us a lot more than a few million.

Chelsea juara 09/10 dengan beza jaringan?

Aku ramalkan akhirnya akan jadi begini: Liverpool akan kalahkan Chelsea. Manchester United akan draw dengan Sunderland. (Rekod di Old Trafford Man United 2-2 Sunderland). Last game MU dan Chelsea masing-masing menang dengan Stoke City dan Wigan. Che & MU sama-sama kumpul 83 points & Chelsea dinobat champion 2009/2010 dengan perbezaan gol. Menarik kan? Hehe

Rafa, Torres and Stevie G

Yes I'm one of the true blue fans. But for me Fernando Torres are the most talented striker in the world. I believed he and his national partner David Villa will bring the World Cup to Spain next year. In Fernando we trust but another Spanish Rafael Benitez no. For me personally, EPL will never back to Anfield under him. Remember Mr. Captain Stevie G need that title to become the one of the English legend. Its just my personal opinion and experience. Yes no one argue Rafa capability in Europe. He look really suitable, impressive and great in Uefa Champions League campaign. But domestic race title are totally different. But blues still trying hard to bring the UCL to Stamford Bridge. Jose Mourinho, Avant Grant, Luiz Felipe Scolari, Guss Hiddink all failed. In Carlo Ancelotti still don't know yet. I think Liverpool should hire The Special One to win the EPL and Chelsea offer Rafa for UCL title. Maybe. Haha.

Just-4-clear

Superfrank penalty equalizer against Gianfranco Zola boys only give Chelsea Football Club four points clear over Manchester United. It's not so good away results for several big teams this week especially for Liverpool and Manchester United where both down 2-0 and 3-0 by Portsmouth and Fulham on Saturday . Two questionable penalty decisions for both sides took the headlines tonight. The Hammers still struggling in the relegation dangerous zone at the bottom three with only collect 15 points in 18 games. A single points above Portsmouth far down there. Final score: The leaders 1-1 Home team.

Gameweek 17 predictions (Updated)

Sunderland 1-1 Aston Villa (0-2) Birmingham 0-0 Blackburn (2-1) Bolton 2-1 West Ham (3-1) Man Utd 3-0 Wolves (3-0) Correct! Burnley 1-3 Arsenal (1-1) Chelsea 2-0 Portsmouth (2-1) Liverpool 3-2 Wigan (2-1) Tottenham 0-2 Man City (3-0) * Stoke City, Everton, Fulham and Hull City will not played this gameweek.

Black Blues night

Poor home record of the season. 3 goals conceded against Everton at Stamford Bridge. Carlo Ancelotti need to do something on his defender line up. But not so hurt for me because both my fantasy striker scored tonight. One from Louis Saha and another two from Didier Drogba. Good results for Manchester United. They will level the points tonight if their can beat Aston Villa at Old Trafford. But nothing can effected the top two team at the moment on tomorrow Super Sunday game. Liverpool and Arsenal are struggling to catch up the top 4 slot to secure them on next season European campaign. And Old Trafford kick-off just begin.

Matchday 16 quick prediction (Updated)

Below my quick prediction on matchday 16 of Barclays Premier League. Stoke City 0-0 Wigan (2-2) Birmingham 1-3 West Ham (1-0) Bolton 0-2 Man City (3-3) Burnley 1-3 Fulham (1-1) Chelsea 1-0 Everton (3-3) Hull City 2-1 Blackburn (0-0) Sunderland 3-1 Portsmouth (1-1) Tottenham 3-0 Wolves (0-1) Man Utd 1-2 Aston Villa (0-1) Liverpool 0-2 Arsenal (1-2) ( ) = Actual fulltime results. Bold = Big 4 Semua salah. But United and Liverpool lost prediction was correct. Only the score is wrong. Hahaha

The Reds journey in Europe

Image
Wednesday morning match will be meaningful not just for Lyon and Fiorentina, but also their group mates, Liverpool and Debrecen. For sure Lyon have already qualified for the knockout round, but their position in the group has yet to be determined. The other club in group E Fiorentina on the other hand have one foot in knocked round, but their progress is not yet assured. The Reds are sitting at the backdoor and hope that someone will throw them a bone out the window. As for Debrecen, if can beat Liverpool, they still have the chance to the next knocked round. But Liverpool's spirit in Europe are different compare to their domestic performance. If they can't make it this morning, they are still can try it again next seasons. (If they still can climb up to the 4th in BPL end of this season). Remember Liverpool flying this time without my favorites striker Mr. Fernando Torres . For me personally he is the best striker on earth at this moment. But as anyone can see Liverpool are ...
