No sooner had I written about the (possible) upcoming release of iOS 4.3 with personal hotspot facility when I found out that another hugely important feature possibly looks like being added to the iPad 2 and iPhone 5 too. The change, which will make a lot of people very happy, is the fact that you will now be able to control the iOS devices using a variety of simple gestures. This way you can carry out orders simply and efficiently by swiping, flicking and varying the number of fingers you use.

Angry Birds is a puzzle video game developed by Finland-based Rovio Mobile, in which players use a slingshot to launch birds at pigs stationed on or within various structures, with the intent of destroying all the pigs on the playfield. Inspired by a simple sketch of stylized wingless birds, the game was first released for Apple's iOS in December 2009. Since that time, over 12 million copies of the game have been purchased from Apple's App Store, which has prompted the company to design versions for other touchscreen-based smartphones, including those using the Android and the Symbian^3 operating systems. Rovio Mobile has supported Angry Birds with numerous free updates that add additional game content, and the company has even released stand-alone holiday versions of the game. Android and iOS fanatics are likely to be all smiles today.  Microsoft's at last released a figure related to the sales of Windows Phone 7 devices, and it's not anything that'll have investors dumping their shares of Google and Apple in order to get behind Steve Ballmer. A quick refresher: on December 8th, Android guru Andy Rubin tweeted that more than 300,000 Android phones were being activated each day.  Also, Apple announced not too long ago that 14.1 million iPhones were sold in the third quarter of this year, which works out to about 157,000 per day.
